I will shake the heaven, earth and sea

Haggai 2:6-7 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

Hebrews 12:26-28 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

The last time God’s voice shook the earth was in Exodus 19. That happened in Mount Sinai when God spoke to Moses, the mountain quaked, the Israelites were terrified and they trembled. The bible says yet once more, God will shook the earth again, this time He will shake not just mount Sinai but the nations, and the sea and the heaven. The thought of God shaking the sea brings to my mind the tsunamis that happened in the Indian Ocean near Indonesia on Dec 26th,2004, according to recent data compiled by the United Nations , a total of 229,866 people were lost, including 186,983 dead and 42,883 missing.
What could shake all the earth and all nations? Could it be a great global earthquake? And we have yet to witness the shaking of the heaven. I believe the effect of this global shaking is sudden, unexpected destruction, like many who were caught by surprise in the tsunamis. Haggai 2:6-7 further says this shaking of the earth, heaven and the sea will be followed by the desire of all nations coming, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Hebrew 12;26-28 the Word says this shaking will remove things that are shaken, that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. All the world’s systems and institutions that is against God will one day be shaken and destroyed. As of things that are made, they are temporary, perishable and have an expiry date. Some spend time investing in stocks, for some it is entertainment, for some it is their car, these things itself may not be sinful, but you see all these things are not lasting. The bible says in Matthew 6:21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Where and what we spend our time and effort reveals where our heart is, how do we spend our free time is a gauge of where our heart is. In life it is not how fast and beautiful you build your house, it is whether your house is built on the right foundation?

The Word is teaching us to invest in things that cannot be shaken, doing the will of God have lasting values and is a sure foundation.

Matthew 7:24-27 "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."

Hebrew 12:28 exhorts us: Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear

  1. Could it be a meteor that shakes the earth or an asteroid? Could it be something that brings a pervasive and tangible fear upon the entire earth and shakes us? Could it be something in the heavens that cannot be explained and shakes us all?

I do know this, it can all shake and even I can be shaky sometimes but my hope is built upon the Rock, and when the rains come and the floods rise and the winds blow and the enrtire universe is shaken from its foundtion, one thing will remain - Christ and all who are His. Praise His Immuttable Name!!

  3. Prophecy December 07

    The Lord said,
“The Lord has given a command to the enemies of the cross, wake up ye mighty men of war, prepare yourselves, come to the place where I shall slaughter you. Make weapons of war in your factories, say to yourselves that you are strong, assemble yourselves against my people, and the people of Israel.

I will judge you all as you surround Israel, your blood will overflow the land because your wickedness is great.”
“I will judge you in the valley of Decision, these are the end times spoken of by the prophet Joel 3 v 9-21. From Israel my voice shall be heard from the city of Jerusalem, it will be a time when the heaven and the earth will shake with a mighty shaking.

For war shall be in the sky and in the earth, the Christians will put their trust in Christ for they know that He is their hope and salvation, and Christ Jesus is the strength of the children of Israel.

By these things the world will know that I am the Lord Jesus Christ your God, who dwells in Zion my Holy mountain. “The people of Jerusalem will then be Holy. The wicked shall not be found in that land anymore. A time of great joy, and peace and prosperity will flow like a mighty river over all Israel, coming from the house of the Lord, and filling every valley.”

“The nations that have raised their hands against my people of Judah, and have shed their innocent blood, shall be made a desolate wilderness. My people will dwell in the city of Jerusalem, from generation to generation, for I will forgive them and cleanse them, for the Lord Jesus Christ dwelleth in Zion.” Thus saith the Lord.

This prophecy came to me in the morning of the third of December, Billy.

The answer to this question is found in a book by the same title, Shaking Heaven & Earth, by Lyle Norton. I think you will find it very interesting reading.

The key to understand this verse is found in Heb.12:27. Clearly expressed in this verse is this that the things that are shakable shall be removed, both in heaven and in the earth.

Isa.40:8 The Word of our GOD stands forever. Only one thing cannot be shaken and that is the Word of GOD. GOD has appointed a Day which He called 'the Day of the LORD' to shake the heaven and the earth, which actually mean to remove all things out of heaven and the earth that are not of the Word of GOD.

Heb.11:3 The worlds (heaven and earth) were framed by the Word of GOD.
That was exactly so before sin entered into heaven and earth. Sin is not the Word of GOD but rather anti-GOD and His Word. The Devil and his angels are anti-GOD and His Word and they have established their kingdom in the air. Wicked men are anti-GOD and His Word and they are in power in the earth. But in the Day of great shaking, the kingdom of Satan shall fall from the air, and their places shall no more be found in heaven but they shall all be cast down to earth for a short period of time of 1260 days. Rev.12:7-14 Hence we shall see GOD shaking first the heaven by casting down the devil and his angels out of heaven to earth. Then the devil will seek to persecute Israel and Christians, knowing that the shaking of the earth will soon follow at the return of Christ. All things that offend shall be cast out of the earth. Matt.13:41-42

Although many scholars associate the shaking with earthquakes, tsunamies, stock market crashes, etc., yet the bible clearly states that the shaking is associated with the removal of things that are shakable. Heb.12:27 We are going to witness the things of the devil and the things of men being shaken out of their places because they are not of the Word of GOD. Earthquakes and the like are actually the tell-tale signs of the shaking that are happening just as GOD has prophesied that before the devil and his angels be cast out of heaven, the great earthquake shall happen in the land of Israel. Rev.16:17-19 cp Ezek.38:18-20 This physical earthquake will be used to deliver the nation of Israel from an attack of her enemies which are an alliance of arab muslim states. But the same earthquake is also the sign that the kingdom of Satan, which is 'Babylon' will be cast out of heaven. Isa.14:4-15 cp Rev.6:12-13 ; 16:17-19

Once Satan is cast down to earth, he will seek to occupy Jerusalem because he knew that she is the city of our Lord Jesus Christ and the LORD shall return for her. Hence we shall then witness the beginning of the 1260 days of Jacob's trouble. We shall also witness the appointment of the two Witnesses sent to Jerusalem by the LORD to be His Witnesses for the same number of days, 1260. Rev.11:3 We shall also witness at the same time the fulfillment of scriptures that say GOD shall pour out His Spirit upon Israel. Ezek.39:29 cp. Zech.12:10 cp Joel.2:28-29 This will be the time of great repentance in Israel and what Paul wrote in Rom.11:23-27

Is it not very near (the Day of the LORD)as we are witnessing the events in the middle-east today moving towards a coming war ? Surely this impending war will be the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39. Please study the things that are written so that we may be well prepared for them.
